What is this product? The product is an instrument gauge mounting solution for the Jeep Wrangler YJ, year models 1987 to 1995. The standard panel has four gauge holes. The hole's diameters are 2-1/16" and will accommodate the standard 2" or 2 1/16" gauges. Sunpro, Equus, Autometer to mention a few. These are the most common gauges on the market. Fuel gauges are hard to find in any other size.
This panel gives the Jeep owner the ability to add aftermarket gauges without major modifications and without having to use the standard mounting bracket screwed to the underside of the dash. It allows for the installation of all four required gauges, not just three with fuel gauge next to it. The NJT instrument panel gives the YJ dash a more custom retro look.

There are other jeep modifications converting the YJ to a CJ look but that is a major dash overhaul. This panel simply screws into the existing holes in the dash. Remove the 6 screws from the original instrument bezel, unplug the stock instruments, hook up the gauges and install the panel. There are openings for the heater controls and radio. Mounting hardware is provided with the panel.

| This panel is the solution for installing your aftermarket gauges. The first panel was manufactured after thieves broke in and ripped out the plastic dash to steal the radio. Instead of replacing the dash with the original plastic bezel. I built this steel panel and purchased aftermarket gauges which are more reliable than the original gauges. There is not another panel like this on the market. The only way to install aftermarket gauges is to either use the brackets under the dash or by installing another plastic replacement bezel. | |
